principle
First sodium molybdate is decomposed in an alkaline medium (ammonium or sodium hydroxide), and then impurities are removed by precipitation and filtration (or solvent extraction). The obtained ammonium molybdate solution can be converted into various molybdenum products through crystallization or acid precipitation. These molybdenum products can be further processed into high-purity molybdenum trioxide after calcination.
